Description
If chocolate cake and chocolate fudge had a French lovechild, it would be the Bonpastry Ganache. This is what chocoholic dreams are made of!
Ganache (pronounced guh’-nosh) is a traditional French sauce or pastry filling made from chocolate and cream. We blended the finest Belgian bittersweet chocolate and organic cream with eggs, sugar, and French Cognac brandy to create an altogether decadent dessert.
Inside is a custard-like chocolate cake, coated on the outside with dark chocolate ganache sauce. We recommend serving your Ganache with fresh raspberries and a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon for a plunge into French chocolate heaven.
Serving Suggestions
- If love is in the air, there had better be a Bonpastry Ganache on the plate! A 4” heart-shaped Ganache and two forks is all you need.

Ingredients
The history of Ganache dessert starts with its name. Centuries ago in France the word ‘ganache’ was an insult, describing a person devoid of talents and intelligence. As such, the dessert got its name from an error of manipulation. The story holds that one day an apprentice chocolate maker mistakenly poured boiling cream in chocolate, during the process of cake making. Angry to see that the preparation of a cake went wrong, the master called him ‘kind of ganache!’ in popular language. Trying to catch up with the process, the master mixed the substance, what surprisingly turned it into a paste. The paste was later called ‘Ganache’. This is how a mistake gave birth to one of the best French desserts, used by all chocolatiers and patissiers.

I live out of state and wanted to send a surprise to my mother for her retirement. The team was great with communication and willing to work with me when I had to change the delivery time because she wasn't home. I didn't get to taste it myself, but I was told it was "it is exactly how chocolate should be, rich, decadent, and smooth." Wish I lived closer to they it myself.
